How to Drink EVOO

Recommended method: on an empty stomach

  • Standard amount: 1 tablespoon (about 15 ml)

  • Can be taken directly or followed by a small amount of warm water

For First-Time Users

If you have never consumed olive oil this way, start with a smaller amount:

  • 1 teaspoon (about 5 ml)

  • Allow 3–7 days for your body to adjust

  • Increase gradually only if no discomfort is experienced

Listening to your body matters more than reaching a specific dose.


Morning Use: A Gentle Start

When: Upon waking, before breakfast

Morning consumption tends to support activation and regulation:

An Important Note on High-Polyphenol EVOOs

High-polyphenol extra virgin olive oils are more biologically active.
While this can be beneficial, they are not suitable for everyone in every context.

Please be aware:

  • High-polyphenol oils may have a noticeable effect on the nervous system

  • Individuals with sensitive or fragile nervous systems
    (including some people with ASD or heightened neurological sensitivity)
    may experience discomfort

  • Begin in the morning only

  • Start with a small amount (around 5 ml)

  • Continue or adjust only if well tolerated

Higher polyphenols are not always better.
